Support Rio Bonito/Meeks Family

Donation protected
This campaign was set up to raise money for the Meeks family and Rio Bonito Resort in Wimberley, TX. The resort has been family owned and operated since 1932, and has been their livelihood for generations. The Blanco River flash flood on Saturday, May 23, 2015 devastated the property.

We have been going to Rio Bonito every summer with a group of friends and families for over 30 years, and were there the night of the flood. As we evacuated we heard the snapping of trees that daylight revealed to be the majestic Cypress trees along the river. Water eventually rose and engulfed the very cabins where we played games and conversed just hours before. This beautiful spot we've shared for years was radically transformed in the span of a few hours by a force of nature that is at times hard to comprehend.

We know that there are other friends and families out there for who the Meeks and Rio Bonito also hold a special place in their hearts and memories.

Please donate whatever you can to help the Meeks family during this devastating time and help rebuild Rio Bonito so that it will continue to provide memories for generations to come.

Brought to you by the Brady, Flory, Greathouse, Hogan, Huling, Low, Massie, O'Connor, Smith, Winters, and Yarbrough families. Rio Bonito Crew since 1980.
