Starting Over at 43

After 20 years of marriage, my husband and I separated in March. I tried to make my marriage work; however, at the beginning of January I became aware of some things he was doing that were emotionally destructive to me and I had to ask him to leave. I finally realized our marriage was over.
Since his departure, he has refused to help me financially. I am only working part time in a low paying job. I have been trying to find a better job, but without an education, good jobs are hard to come by. Also, I do not own a car, which makes it impossible to look for a better job.
I am having to leave my current home because I cannot afford to stay in it. I have an opportunity to move into a beautiful home owned by a wonderful woman who has been in the same situation I am currently in. The rent is much lower than what I am paying now. However, even with selling appliances and other excess furniture, which I won’t need in the one bedroom I have rented, I am still in need of funds to meet, not only my monthly rent, but also my essential needs.
I might add that I am starting college next month to better myself, which of course, will be funded by federal loans, but it is still not enough to pay tuition and everyday living expenses. I am seeking a degree in Human Services.
Any help you can give me would be appreciated so that I can move forward with my life.
