Baby Laurell's veterinary bill

This page is set up for my close friend Ashleigh and her beautiful miniature baby shetland pony Laurell. Ashleigh is a 20year old hard working animal lover and her precious  Laurell is just 2 years old.
Last sunday morning Ashleigh recieved the devastating news that Laurell had been let out of her stable during the night and needed emergency veterinary treatment.  Ashleigh rushed to the stables and the vet was called during the few minute wait the tiny 27 inch high pony collapsed to the floor bleeding. She was made as comfortable as possible and when the vet arrived he gave the distressing news that Ashleigh's tiny friend had been sexually abused and had suffered internal injuries.  Laurell was carefully examined and given emergency fluids and treatment.  For the past week young Ashleigh and her close friends at the stables have maintained a 24 hour watch on Laurell ensuring she is cared for and protected. Thankfully Laurell is starting to respond to the TLC and medication now and is beginning to feel better. Ashleigh has taken time off work to care for her during the daytime but now has a huge vet bill to pay. This will be a large burden on a hard working young lady who spends most of her wages on her beloved ponies Laurell and Lego and her rescue dog Sadie.
