Send the Vegan to Nationals

At the recent FL Senior Games, I won Golds in all 6 events I placed in with no training and little running since my then non-vegan husband had a heart attack 2 months ago.
I did the same 2 years ago and paid my way to Nationals. I placed 7th in the 1500 meters, among other races with women who said they were full-time athletes and hired coaches from UCLA to train them and even fly with them to Nationals! I am totally a weekend athlete and train with local free running clubs when there's time. I credit my lack of inflammation and quick recovery to plant power.
Like many authors today, my book royalties have plowed right back into marketing.
I would love to represent again in St. Paul at the National Senior Games next July. $4000 is the estimated cost of travel, dorm room & dorm food for the week.
I always wear bright, noticeable vegan shirts and have been blown away at the number of vegan athletes I meet at these events. Yet so many others tell me, "You can't run, race, or compete in the Olympics on a vegan diet."
Let's prove them wrong!
