At Volunteer Cancer Drivers Society, we have the pleasure of providing free, dependable and safe rides to people receiving treatment and follow-up care for cancer.
We know that getting to and from appointments can be time consuming, draining and possibly costly for cancer patients, and we understand that family and friends are not always available to accompany them. We’re here for those times. We take care of transportation needs so cancer patients can focus your energy on the most important thing: health and wellbeing.
The Volunteer Cancer Drivers Society (VCDS) was formed by dedicated and caring volunteers who enjoyed providing transportation through the now-closed Canadian Cancer Society’s Volunteer Driver Program.
Knowing how patients appreciated and valued this service, these experienced and committed drivers and dispatchers now continue to offer round trip door-to-door transportation through VCDS to patients living in:
- North Shore
- Tri-Cities (Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, Port Moody)
- New Westminster
- Maple Ridge
- Langley
- Delta
- Surrey
- White Rock
- Abbotsford
