Help us build the Great Big Zapper

In our daily lives, we’ve become desensitized to the curiosity and serenity that is all around us. Technology and social media have taken the place of conversation and natural interaction. The Great Big Zapper will be a visual representation of how we trap ourselves amid the wonder of life. You can sit back and watch the experience unfold, and participate by interacting with bright, buzzing distractions inside the GBZ. The Great Big Zapper is my way of letting the world see the fray of our daily lives and the inherent joy of escaping it.- Also it’s a hippy trap. ;)

The outer structure will be a beacon of light in deep playa. A jacobs ladder flashing off the top. As your eyes move down to the flashing glow of leds, you can’t help but be drawn into first floor (ada accessible) which is where the adventure begins. There will be tvs, and interactive touchscreen phones that draw your attention with pretty lights and sounds.Moving to the second floor, will be several LEDs run by the touch of a button, be careful though, if you push the wrong button, you may get zapped.The 3rd deck is the true heart of the project. plush fur and pillows add some comfort while you finish your journey of disconnection…. There will be a plasma ball to interact with, become mesmerized by the glow and the static that follows your finger. Kick back relax and get your zap on.   GBZ Website
