Home for assisting/housing veterans

Hello veterans, and friends and families of veterans! My name is Gordon E. Sparadeo. I am a disabled U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran. My reason for going on this site is to raise funds to obtain a property, to house veterans, male or female. There is a serious need to assist/house, and help veterans of every war/conflict. In the Eastern Connecticut area alone there are over 3000 homeless veterans, one is too many! Thousands of veterans come home with no place to go, no where to turn, and need help to get back to life before war. The front porch light of this home will remain forever on for veterans to find their way home. I just want to give back, and help in any way I can. I know how hard it can be, FIRST HAND! It is perfect in every way, from the living quarters, to the exercise areas, private cottages, as well as the scenic view of woods, trails, wildlife, and a pond. Various forms of therapy will be offered, such as animal therapy, gardening, and exercise therapy, along with the stardard mental and emotional therapy. There will also be vocational training, job assistance, and benefit information. There are already numerous volunteers to assist, a VA rep., a bank for the financial assistance, a nutritional expert, an exercise expert, an animal therapy expert, a cook, a maintenance person, as well as a VA rep from the senator's office, and the congressman's office. This is just a few of the endless possibilities of the facility. More to be determined by veterans. Your donations will help with the purchase of the property, permits, legal counsel, engineering, structural repairs ie. paint/trim work, clothing, linens, equipment etc. Photos and videos of the progress using your donations will be posted as it happens. ALL donators names will be put on a memory stone that is located at the pond. The home is nameless because the veterans will be deciding on this, after all it is their home.
