Shawn the wonderful, zany, artistic, fun, caring, lovely woman of the hour has long been known to have a unique brain. What we did not know was just HOW unique....
Last month, after months of strange vision issues, Shawn got a new neurologist. She thought her long-term Multiple Sclerosis was acting up again. After a trip through the magic MRI where she got her glamour shots done, the news was in. No MS activity. Just a very special pool of blood that thought it shouldn't have to leave the cozy spot it decided to call home in the folds of a rather brilliant cortex. Damn pool of blood.
They call it an aneurysm, and it's being evicted.
On MAY 27th Shawn will get the full aneurysm eviction escort. Complete with brain surgery, many days of hospital care, weeks of rehabilitation, and a good-as-new post months-of-healing cortex area.
So many people would love to help Shawn in the way that she has helped all of us over the years. As much as we all wish we could be in Seattle to help clean the cat box and wash the socks, this go-fund-me will help in better, bigger ways, such as:
(1) Medical Bill Coverage (yikes!)
(2) Rehab care coverage (getting better all the time..)
(3) Time out of work (and this is how you vacation?!)
