A Place For My Stuff

What made George Carlin's humor so timeless and so relatable were his observances about the minutiae of daily life. He once characterized a house as "a place for your stuff." (I'm sure most of you reading this could recite this bit verbatim, for the rest I've posted the video at the bottom.)
Recently I was kicked out of my apartment in Echo Park. A week after I moved in, I was told that the apartment manager thought that two people were renting the room. It was just me and my still-packed stuff. My boyfriend had only come over once , after the previous day's walk around Echo Park Lake together. For reasons I don't understand, the couple from whom I was subletting didn't tell her this wasn't the case and gave me 30 days' notice to move out.
I have a job, and paying rent is no problem. I just don’t have enough money saved for the deposit and rent (sometimes first month's, sometimes first and last month's!) upfront I'm asking for $850, which is about half of what I'll need. I can come up with the rest needed so I can have a place for my stuff.
If you could donate anything at all, I would be eternally grateful. Here’s what you can get for donating:
$10: A big hug for being so amazing (I can email you a hug if you’re outside LA).
$25: A handwritten thank you card
OR for my fellow Internet wrestling fans, R.D. Reynolds has offered access to all of the Wrestlecrap archives, first come, first serve, limit of 10 logins.
$40: My boyfriend has volunteered to lend his writing skills and write a personalized poem featuring you and a classic WWE wrestler of your choice.
$50: I will bake you a cake or a batch of cookies.
$100 or more: Dinner on me at whatever place you've been dying to try.
I really appreciate any help you can give. It means a lot to me. Thanks for reading!
