I have been playing with the Atlanta Philharmonic Orchestra for the past 7 years, and it has been a wonderful and transformative experience. The members are from all walks of life and come together to make beautiful music.
In recent months, our music stands have become run down and our supply is dwindling. I occasionally bring a crescent wrench and do my best to tighten them up, but this only goes so far. I would love to just buy the orchestra new stands, but as a recent college graduate with a child and fast approaching student loans, I am not in a position to do that right now. I hope that I can encourage some of my friends and loved ones to pitch in a few bucks to help me achieve this goal.
