DYG Tallahassee to Denver
We have some great news -- Tallahassee’s is one of 16 cities that are finalist for the 2015 All-America City award!!
We’re excited about the upcoming trip to Denver to showcase why Tallahassee is truly an All-America city. This 2015 campaign will focus on the ways our community solves problems impacting neighborhoods, growth, and families. The Tallahassee delegation will be highlighted by a very gifted group of Distinguished Young Gentlement (DYG) whose involvement will be paramount to our success in bringing home the BIG prize.
Travel expenses for each DYG student will cost about $800 which is a heavy price for their families to pay in order for them to provide this service to our great community. A team of community leaders, including UrbanTallahassee, are currently reaching out to potential donors and asking them to sponsor these young delegates.
Our goal of $25,000 which should cover the cost of sending these young men to Denver and return them safely back to Tallahassee.
