Help Mike get a new racing chair :)

Hello everyone! This is Kellie, Mike Olsen's girlfriend. (he has NO idea I'm doing this) I've been contemplating making this page for weeks. For those of you who don't know, Mike is a complete paraplegic going on 8 years now. He had a construction accident when he was 23 years old and has been wheelchair bound ever since. (Please watch attached video of his story) He has found great strength and positivity since the accident and is still actively involved in many adaptive sports as well as works a full time job. Hunting, fishing, road racing, basketball, archery, and skiing are just to name a few. I truly believe the freedom of being able to still participate in these things has mentally got him where he is today. Seeing his contagious smile and pure joy when he accomplishes something makes my heart melt. This year would be year #5 of Mike competing in Utica's 15k Boilermaker road race, something he looks forward to all year long. Unfortunately, it's not looking like he's going to be able to do it due to his racing chair not fitting him anymore and nearly falling apart. His hips have bruises on them the size of golf balls from still trying to use a chair that doesn't fit. But he still tries! Mike never gives up, he never asks for help & he certainly never would. To anyone that knows Mike, you know he's an amazing person with a huge heart who would give anyone the last penny to his name if that meant making someone else happy. I could go on for days about how much of an inspiration he is to all.

Here's where I come into play. I have seeked out anywhere & everywhere I can think of trying to get a grant to get Mike a new racing chair and ended up at a dead end. If any of you that know and love Mike like I do are able to help in ANY way, I would appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. I assure you any money raised will be going to adaptive equipment for Mike. No amount is too small and every dollar raised is greatly appreciated! Let's help get Mike a new racing chair so we can see him compete in 7 short weeks in this years Boilermaker!!
