Russ Mahoney's STEM-CELL Treatment

Donation protected
At the age of 6 yrs our good and faithful buddy Russ Mahoney started playing drums.
It was always his passion to become a professional drummer.
At the age of 14 he formed his first band with his brother Perry, doing school concerts and was asked to perform at his teachers wedding. Later when in his teens he fine tuned his art playing alongside older and more advanced musicians, and turning professional at the age of 16yrs.
Russ became known as the mild mannered, unphased, steady, reliable musician that was on the A list of most recording bands along the south coast, playing alongside such names as: Brian Connoly's  Sweet, Bert Weedon, (Tina Turner tour 1984) with Yo Yo, Stickywicket, and many more and has done countless sessions for some well named artists.
Christmass 2010 seemed like it was leading up to be the answer to everything when he hooked up with musicians Cliff Chapman, Terry Mills and  Andy Hayslip to form a new innovative band  'BOX OF FROGS" rehearsals, recording, Gigs were all lined up then,,,,,
BANG   ,,,,,   Russ was rushed to hospital with a suspected STROKE,, panic set in for all the band and his girlfriend who noticed that his arm was limp and his speech was slurred, the emergency crew did a great job in getting him to the hospital within a few minutes, but the damage was done and after the consultation process he had been diagnosed with a cerebrovascular insult.
He suffered complete left side paralysis and was unable to walk, he was offered physiotherapy and the hope for the future was some degree of recovery.
4 years on and Russ can now walk still but has no use of his left arm and hand.
All seemed to be lost once again until recently when surfing the web he researched STEM-CELL treatment and has now the opportunity to be treated in Dominican Republic by an American specialist at 'Stem-Cell of America"  but this ground breaking procedure needs to be funded.
The amount we need to raise is upward of £15,00.00
for treatment and travel costs.
We are sure that this is attainable and that many artists and performers will come to the aid of this most worthy cause, every little bit counts, so please give what you can to get Russ Mahoney back on his kit and be playing again and to have the quality of life that many of us are privilaged to enjoy.
THANK YOU FOR READING THIS, AND THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART IN THIS WORTHWHILE CAUSE.
TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
