The Excitement is Building at the Utica Zoo! DON'T WAIT! DONATE TODAY TO HAVE YOUR DONATION MATCHED UP TO $75,000!
In 2016, the Utica Zoo unveiled the "We Don't Like It Either" Campaign focused on improvements and upgrades to the Primate Building, originally built in 1927. After numerous donors stepped up and got the campaign started, it is now time to continue the work and complete the next phase of the project.
The"Excitement is Building!" Campaign will focus on providing modern habitats to the White-Handed Gibbons and Spider Monkeys, including a living rainforest outdoor exhibit space which will provide over 8 times the amount of space each of the primates currently has. The project will also provide modern zoological housing facilities for our primates and animal care staff, plus various infrastructure improvements, including a new roof.
Every donation will go towards 2 separate matching challenges put forth by 2 separate donors. The total matching challenge of $75,000 could end up becoming $150,000 with the help of donors like YOU! All donations will go towards the challenge and will directly benefit the Primate Building Project and give our White-Handed Gibbons and Spider Monkeys the home and living space they deserve.
