Urijah's Cancer Fight

This adorable little 2 year old is Urijah Smith. He loves trains, rockets, the moon and stars, cars, animals, movies and tools. On February 21st, 2015 he was diagnosed with stage 5 Wilms' Tumor Kidney Cancer. The cancer has spread to both of his little kidneys, his liver and his lungs. While this is most definitely a fight for his life, his wonderful Oncology Team at Doernbecher Children's Hospital is confident that Wilms' Tumor responds well to treatment. He will need chemotherapy, a removal of his left kidney as well as radiation treatments. Our family will be in and out of the hospital during his treatments, for surgeries and any other potential complications that may arise. He's a fighter, and while terribly frightened of most things that happen to him in the hospital he remains tough. Just weeks prior to diagnosis, he learned to say "I tough!" If he ever falls down, you'll quickly hear, "I ok...I tough." When he first came home, his 1 year old brother Colt was so happy, he tackled him and wrestled around with him. He was so happy to see him again.
It's humbling to ask for anything more than prayers, but with the insistence of many friends and family, we have set up this fund to help with the overwhelming amounts of medical bills that will be flooding our home. Funds will go to cover medical expenses, lost hours of work, medications, gas, etc. Any extra funds that exceed the medical expenses will be donated to Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Urijah's name. We thank you all for your love, support and prayers. Let's get Urijah through this and back to being the wonderful, playful, fun-loving little boy that doesn't realize that he's fighting for his life. He has so many lives yet to touch and inspire. We love you Urijah!
