ABOUT MARWICK
After losing Patsy, my doberman, to cancer, I needed to make Jackie my other doberman a therapy dog so we could get out of the house. After working with altzheimers patients and special needs children, we got the call to go to LAX in 2013 and begin volunteering there doing therapy work for passengers traveling from all over the world.

There was no place for pet owners to shop for their four-legged friends. So I complained someone should open a pet gift shop in the airport for people to buy gifts for their pets while they were missing their animals.

After an intervention by family and friends, I began this journey to fill the need I saw in families that were traveling away from their pets. Now with my dogs at my side (Kai, Delilah, and Tigger) we greet passengers at the Hollywood Burbank airport with smiles and wags.

I still volunteer with my two longhaired Dalmatians on my days off with the Traveler's Tails at Hollywood Burbank Airport and the PUP Program at LAX. 


ABOUT OUR STORE
Independent gift retailer becoming the standard for pet/human gift/travel needs. All of our toys and treats will always be made in the USA. Through Up Pup 'N' Away, we are able to help support other small businesses which we get our products from, a lot of which are primarily women owned businesses. Many of them benefit charities involved with animals.


OUR GOAL
Our goal is to have pet owners and pet families represented in airports around the country so their needs are met when they travel with their furry loved one or away from them. We want to continue supporting the small businesses, artists, and artisans. One of our biggest goals is to remain independent and not land in the pockets of the banks.


GOFUNDME FUNDS
We need this seed money for the next Up Pup 'N' Away to land in a second airport (hopefully LAX!). We are eager to accomplish this without banks or corporate money. We are starting with our most loyal customers and fans to elevate us to the next level.


TIMELINE
This is an urgent fundraiser. The sooner we can meet our goal the better. The bidding process is underway to lock down space in airports so it is crucial for us to have the proper funding to put a stake in on a location.
