Sammy's Cancer Surgery

I am looking to raise $2,500 for a surgery and follow-up care for my good friend's dog, Samson (Sammy). Samson is a miniature schnauzer, smart, funny, a good companion. Sammy was recently diagnosed with a tumor in his eye that has a 95% chance of being cancerous. The vet has recommended surgery to remove the tumor, a surgery that my friend simply can't afford on his own.

Samson was my friend's mom's dog in the last years of her life, and after she passed, my friend took the dog, despite his own financial struggles and several years' struggle getting a diagnosis for a debilitating mental illness. While his mental health is better, he's not in a financial position to handle the likely life-saving surgery.

I am making this plea to extend the life of a dog that has been a source of comfort and companionship to two people at hard times in their lives. I want to help give a little back to a sweet, smart dog.
