Unión de Delegados de Los Salias (UDES) is an educational program for children and teenagers register in the Council of Rights of Children and Adolescents of Los Salias (Miranda, Venezuela) under No. P-003-12
Basic characteristics
We work using the Model of United Nations (MUN) scheme and we distinguish ourselves by having a unique delegation method: we are formed by students from differents schools.
The UDES members recieve weekly classes in oratory, debate, international and national law, human rights, team work, leadership, among other things, looking for their profesinal and personal growing. We work to form leaders for the future helping the youth to develop speaking, negotiantions and debate skills as a method for solving problems.
Some History of UDES
UDES was created in 2012 when our 18 years old founder presented the proyect to the Council of Rights of Children and Adolescents of Los Salias; for 2013 the Chamber of Councilors recognized us as the Delegation Los Salias; and on February 12, 2015 we obtain the Recognition of SOCIAL ENTERPRISE in the Municipality of Los Salias.
UDES is currently formed by students from 9 differents schools, adding a total of 50 participating.
Motivation and who the project is headed
It is fundamental for us to maintain this program over the years considering that we are one of the few initiatives at the national level that seeks to promote MUN culture and provide opportunities for adolescents in whose school does not have this academic activity.
Objectives of the crowdfunding campaign
In 2015 we reach the goal of realizing our first edition of UDESMUN and in 2016 we realised our second one. For this year 2017 we maintain the same spirit of accomplish it, but the situation in Venezuela complicates this very much.
Any monetary contribution that you can give us is to invest in an educational initiative and helps us to fulfill our goal, which is to continue forming the future of our nation.
The purpose of this campaign is to get the necessary financial support so that our delegation can make this thirhd edition of UDESMUN.
