25th April, 2015 was marked as the black day for Nepal when earthquake of 7.8 rector scale hit Nepal killing around 8000 people and making many more thousands of people injured and homeless. Making Barpak, Gorkha its epicenter, this earthquake had affected around 17 to 18 districts among which 8 districts were highly affected. Today the whole Nepal is paying its effort to help and reunites our country. So people lets unite and rebuild Nepal.
My name is Ganesh Gurung and I’m a Himalayan Trekking guide as well as operator and I am from jhyamrung village, Dhading. This is a small and remote village which is situated in Dhading district. This village has about 30 houses and about 200 people. The main occupation of the people living in this village is farming. There has been great chaos in the life of people of this village due to the recent earthquake. 29 out of 30 houses have been destroyed. They don’t have place to hide. The people in this village are taking shelter under open sky. This disaster has also created sophisticated problems in their livelihood. The people in this village are farmers and farming is only the source of their livelihood. They are depended on the subsistence farming. But this disaster has destroyed their houses as well the fields and farms. Now they are facing lots financial and social problems. The monsoon rain is likely to start from a month so they need a proper place to hide and proper food to eat. Along with this, lack of proper toilets has also created additional problem. Due to improper toilets, people are execrating on the open places. This may break out the epidemic diseases like diarrhea and dysentery. I had spent my entire childhood in this village. Now I want to help my village and people of my village. So I am here to request all of you to help me in collecting funds to rebuild my village. I had recently provided some rice, salt, mattress, some medicines and sanitary pads to the people of my village. But they were not enough, so I am planning to help them further more and for this I need your help. We need $3000 per house to rebuild the houses and provide them the basic necessities. We have targeted to collect $15,000. There is no any personal motive after collecting this fund. The funds donated by the foreign and national bodies have not reached to all the remote villages via Nepal government. Therefore from my own side I want to contribute something for my village. That’s the only reason I am collecting fund. So I need your help. I ensure and promise that the entire fund will be spent in the welfare of the people of village such as buying and distributing the basic necessities like rice, water, salt, tent, mattress, and medicines. Also some fund will be mobilized in rebuilding the houses in our village. So help me, help my village and help my people to get relief from this massive earthquake.
