My Butt Hurts!

At my church each Halloween we have a Trunk-or-Treat event, which provides a safe environment for neighborhood kids to come and do their trick-or-treating.  It's a really great outreach ministry for our community, and everyone has a great time decorating their trunks, handing out candy, and connecting with our neighbors.  We also fling pumpkins, because flinging pumpkins is awesome!

Last year we had a lot of success with our trebuchet, which was able to throw 10-pound pumpkins about 30 yards or so.  Sadly, that machine was destroyed, and needs to be replaced.  This year, I'd like to build a floating-arm trebuchet which can be disassembled and stored between use.  I will also be improving the range to about 100 yards.

I estimate costs at 1000 dollars.  This is a lot of money for our church, and we need help raising it!  Please give what you can, and help us fling pumpkins for Jesus!
