Maryland-based Blue Moon Big Band is partnering with Naylor Wine Cellars on June 28th to present the Marty Knepp Peace & Groove Memorial Dance where all ticket sales and money raised to be donated to the Knepp family.
This event will honor long-time Blue Moon Big Band drummer Marty Knepp, who passed suddenly and unexpectedly on April 30 of this year. All ticket sales and money raised via CD sales will be donated directly to Marty ’s wife Sandy Knepp and their three children to assist with upcoming financial challenges.
Marty, known far and wide for his unfaltering positive outlook and his trademark Peace and Groove to You All signature line, is remembered as an exceptionally artistic musician, fine instructor, and dear friend. His bandmates want to encourage everyone to make a donation to what we are calling The Marty Knepp Peace and Groove Memorial Project fund (even if you are going to the dance, you can still contribute).
All money raised will go directly to Sandy Knepp and her family.
The open-to-the-public event, will be held from 1:00-4:30 PM at Naylor Wine Cellars, 4069 Vineyard Road in Stewartstown, PA. Tickets will be available at the gate: $15 general admission; $7.50 ages 5-15; free under the age of 5.
