Serve the People Program is committed to the values of community solidarity. From the people for the people! Our communities face the onslaught of gentrification, incarceration and unemployment /low employment, leaving families displaced or in shambles, struggling just to survive. However, survival is not good enough and we demand a better life. We carry on this struggle for a better life in the spirit of the Black Panther Party, the Young Lords, the Brown Berets and other radical, progressive and revolutionary organizations that were committed to serve their communities against the inefficiency and inequality we face in this system. Because liberty cannot be enjoyed by an unemployed or hungry person. True freedom can only be where there is no exploitation or oppression of one person by another, where there is not unemployment, where people do not live in fear of losing their jobs, homes or going hungry. It is our goal to strengthen and defend the people of our community so that we can stand together and demand unconditional liberty,  and to arm our people with confidence and knowledge, so that we can rely on one another and break free together! We operate free store events on Austin’s east side and are now taking donations to be redistributed to the community. We are a volunteer organization with no paid staff or corporate sponsorship's, We are workers from the block just like you.
