We're planning a student-only issue! You can help by donating today!
Any monies earned through this GoFundMe drive will go toward producing a student-only issue of Flytrap Uprising, the literary journal published by Blue Spider Press. We want to involve the community in our publication process and allow students the chance to be published. If our goal is met, we will accept and publish creative works from students in middle schools and high schools in the South Mississippi area. The money will be used to fund the design and publication of the journal, including editing the students' work, and to provide a free copy to each student whose work will appear in the journal.
Literacy is imperative, and fostering a love of reading and the written word is something that teachers strive to instill in students. How much more fun would reading and writing seem when a student produces a fictional story or work of poetry that is actually published?
