"Grandma's" Resurrection

Donation protected
"Grandma" is one of the original roller derby banked tracks used during the sport's peak popularity in the 1970's.  The track has come to be known as "Grandma" by skaters across the country, as it is possibly the oldest track still in exsistence. The Bay City Bombers and the Texas Outlaws are just a few of the original roller derby teams to have skated on it, and this track was featured in the film "Kansas City Bomber" starring Raquel Welch.
"Grandma" was used by skaters in Austin just a few years ago and has since been in storage. The new Texas Outlaws in Alvin, Texas now have "Grandma" in storage and are striving to fund the restoration of this historic track. We loaded up the track ourselves piece by piece and placed it in a container truck for storage until the restoration project can begin. "Grandma" is a piece of roller derby history and deserves to be restored to her original beauty. Our goal is to  set this track up in a facility in the Houston/Alvin area where skaters from all leagues can come and skate.
We are in need of money to complete necessary repairs as well as a facility in which to house the track. We are currently skating on a flat track at a local skating rink , playing games every month  year round since 2012. With the cost of the rent at our current facility and other league expenses necessary to keep our league up and running, we are struggling to save money for repairs and a building.  Any amount you can help us with would be greatly appreciated.
UPDATE:
Thank you to those of you who have shared, contributed and worked hard to help us with our track restoration. "Grandma" is a very historic part of roller derby history and we are excited to announce that we have fully restored her to like new condition!
We still have a lot of work to do before we can actually share this track with the public. We are in the process of building required bathrooms in our new facility. We have come so far and worked so hard over the last year and are very close to completion, but unfortunately our funding has run out. We are in desperate need of contributions to help us finish this project and bring "Grandma" back to life. Please share or contribute if you can.  Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
