Uphold the Tuskegee Airmen Legacy!

Donation protected

Our goal is to continue the Legacy that the Tuskegee Airmen created during WWII. The Tuskegee Airmen National Museum in Detroit opened to the public in 1987 with the goal of telling the history of the Tuskegee Airmen. The Museum serves thousands of children and adults every year by conducting youth programs that expose youth to careers in aviation and educates them on the history of the Tuskegee Airmen.

Now the Tuskegee Airmen National Museum is collecting historic aircraft that the Airmen actually flew during WWII in order to take the history of the Tuskegee Airmen to even more people via air shows. The first historic aircraft collected was a North American T-6 purchased in 2010 and now the Museum is trying to purchase a 1941 PT-17/Stearman. This aircraft served at Moton Field and gave many Tuskegee Airmen their first flight experience.

We are looking for $150k for the purchase and restoration of a PT-17/Stearman aircraft that was flown by original Tuskegee Airmen at Moton Field, Tuskegee AL.

We need your help to do that!
