WHAT IS TURTLE TROT?
The Turtle Trot is the primary fundraiser for Lake Center Elementary PTO where every donation supports the school student and staff community. The “Walk A Thon” type event will take place on Friday September 26th during recess (Rain date: Oct 3rd). Prior to the event, students solicit pledges from family, friends and neighbors to support the school and win great prizes.
WHY CAN YOU BE EXCITED TO PARTICIPATE?
GREAT RETURN: Nearly 100% of every donation goes to support Lake Center Elementary School to fund field trips and events, staff requested supplies, Media Center books & supplies. Administrative costs are held to a minimum and include insurance & copies.
REDUCE YOUR TAXES: Portage Lake Center PTO, Inc. is a 501c3 tax exempt organization. Donations made during this event are tax deductible if you itemize.
DOUBLE YOUR MONEY: Some employers participate in “Matching Contributions” and will match employee donation to a 501c3 organizations. Check with your employer & ask others to do the same when you solicit pledges.
PROMOTE FITNESS: This event encourages kids to participate in fun physical activity.
FUN: Festive event environment with opportunity to win great prizes!
