Bill Vincent's Medical Fund

My name is Kitt and Bill is my husband, best friend and soul mate.  Bill was admitted to the hospital in October for pneumonia.  Then he went into heart failure which is now an ongoing problem.  He has type II diabetes and has been dealing with foot ulcers for 2 years.  They keep getting infected and he has been in and out of the hospital for IV antibiotics.  This last infection almost did him in.  The doctors were not sure he would make it through the night.  He did and was taken to Guadalajara for surgery.  They did an above the knee amputation of his right leg  Everything has been private pay and the coffers are getting low.  We are retired and live on my Social Security.  Now for a prosthesis and physical therapy.  His vision has become very bad throughout this whole process so he cannot see much of anything including a computer screen which is why I am writing this.  He remains positive but has become very weak.  I am a RN so I have been handling all of his care and  I have been purchasing the equipment he needs as I can.  My house looks like a hospital ward.  Thank you for your consideration.   Kitt
