The worst things happen to the best people.
Anyone will tell you that Bill and Betsy are among those “Best People”.
Over a year ago Bill fell ill and had to stop working. After some time away from work, Bill was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Anyone who has received this news knows it can be devastating. Bill underwent multiple chemo therapy and radiation treatments. He had a feeding tube put in and surgery to replace his esophagus.
Since then, Bill, Betsy, and their sons, Russell and Charlie, have endured a year of never ending hardships. Betsy has stopped working to help care for Bill and to address her own health concerns. Bill has had continuing complications and his current prognosis is unforgiving.
The current situation has left their family financially and emotionally drained. Thus we come to the point of this page. As their friends and neighbors, we have been trying to help them as much as we can. As a family that helps as much as they can, from being active members of Boy Scout Troop 117 to helping Bill’s father cope with dementia, we are asking on behalf of them for a helping hand. We started this fundraiser in support of them. We are hoping that you can find it in your heart to help Bill, Betsy, Russell, and Charlie stay in their house.
