5 Ironman Triathlons #5TTTP

The Turning Tides Project believes that everyone has the right to equal access to music, the arts and life.

We intend to make this right a reality for people with 'learning disability' or 'autism' labels in Devon. The Turning Tides Project is a Community Interest Company; a non-profit organisation. Our focus is on the work that we do and the difference that we make.

The Turning Tides Project takes a Social Model approach.

We will be completing 5 Ironman-like Triathlon events before the New Year. This means swimming 12 miles, cycling 660 miles and running 133 miles before 1st January 00:00 2018.

These Events will be #Inclusive; involving those with and without labels. Exeter Chiefs will be participating, as will Mid Devon Leisure and (of course) as many other people as possible that are part of Turning Tides Project and the wider community.

Contributions will go towards The Turning Tides Project getting a van. Perfect for Festival Tours, Holiday get-aways for larger groups, transporting musical instruments and sports equipment. Plus, it will look cool because we will put stickers on it and decorate it #Inclusively.

Anyone that accesses Turning Tides Project will benefit from the Van - the equipment will become more transportable and accessible. Transporting guitars, cellos, bass guitars, keyboards and drum kits in cars can be rather a challenge especially when you have passengers!

The first 'Finish line' event will be held at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre, Crediton, EX17 1ER on 11th November 1:00pm - 5:00pm. This will be Swimming focused. **Completed** 12.2 miles swam.

The second 'Finish line' event will be held at Park Lands Leisure Centre, Okehampton, EX20 1EP on 15th December 10:00am - 3:30pm. This will be Walking and Running focused.

The third 'Finish line' event will be held at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre, Crediton, EX17 1ER on 11th November 10:00pm - 3:30pm. This will be Cycling focused.
