My moms name is Anne, she is 59 years old and has always been my best friend. She has 3 daughters and 5 grandkids, that are her entire world. She is the most hardworking, devoted woman I know. She has always been a wiz with gardens, and making them look amazing. My mom has never been the one to give up, which is why I have set up this account.

On November 9, 2014 my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Her story starts 2 years ago, when she had this awful pain in her side. She spent 2 years going to her doctor trying to figure out what was causing the pain, and they kept telling her it was a muscle pull. I finally made her go to the emergency room to try to figure it out. After waiting 7 hours in the waiting room, she finally got called back to a bed. Another 2 hours go by and she got taken back for a CT scan. Another couple hours and we got told she had to stay so they could run more tests because it looked like she had cancer. Later that night they took her back for a MRI and told her that it was most likely cancer. The MRI also showed a spot on her liver. She now has a mass in her pancreas and a spot on her liver, which makes the cancer stage 4. After the biopsy, she initially got told she had 1 year to live. So she started the strongest chemo treatment they could give her.

On December 16, 2014 she started chemo. Every tuesday for 3 months she had a treatment. It was  3 weeks on, 1 week off. At her first 3 month scan, she got told her cancer had shrunk by 25-30%. We were all happy and excited. Things were finally starting to look up. After we got this news, they lowered her dose of chemo and changed it to every other tuesday for 3 months. She had her 3 month scan on thursday April 30th. Now today, May 5, 2015 we got the news that she had a new spot on her colon and the chemo had stopped working. They now gave her 6 months to live. They suggested she try John Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. At this point John Hopkins would be the best bet to try to get her a good treatment, and make her well again. Thats why I am setting this account up, to try and raise money to help her get to Baltimore, and cover at least some of her expenses while she is there. At 19 years old I never saw this happening. Any and all help will be appreciated more than anyone could ever imagine
