Torrington P. Family Fire Recovery

On the morning of Saturday Dec. 5th, a house fire at 276 Torringford Street in Torrington broke out damaging most of the home. Most all of the family’s belongings have been destroyed by either flame, smoke, or water.  As you can imagine, the loss of meaningful family belongings such as photos has hit particularly hard.

The displaced family is presently living with relatives in Torrington and plans to rebuild, as their “home” has always been the city of Torrington.

I am writing this letter on behalf of the Pestritto family requesting your help in getting the family back on their feet this holiday season. As a school teacher for the family’s youngest child, I have a great deal of respect and admiration for how the family has responded to such adversity. I am one of the many people in the Torrington community offering help and I am proud to involved with this particular cause. We are in the process of stepping up efforts with financial assistance and I am asking the same of you.

The Pestritto family is eager to get back to some sort of normalcy this winter, and any monetary donation you could make on their behalf would be so greatly appreciated.
