True Blue Aussie battling Cancer

Recently our friend Craig "Krackers" Tozer was rushed to hospital thinking that his diabetes was out of control. This True Blue Aussie was like many blokes out there and wouldn't call an ambulance or go see a doctor until he really needed one. He fought hard and kept working thinking nothing of how he felt. On this day he knew something was seriously wrong, We all did and told him that he really needed to get a second opinion. With the optimistic attitude he has, he kept saying "I will be coming home tomorrow" but after a few days of tests and monitoring he had to break the news to family and friends that he has been diagnosed with aggressive Lung and Liver Cancer that has spread through his blood. Hearing the news we were left devastated and feeling helpless. Without treatment he has been told he has weeks to live and with treatment maybe 12 months. His optimism still prevailed and he said he would fight and beat this, but the doctors have told him when and if it comes back, it will be with a vengeance. Craig's partner Michelle is standing by his side trying to be strong, however her first question when asked what we could do to help was "I need a job." At this time of need the last thing she should be worrying about is where her next pay cheque is coming from. Like every human put in this situation she needs to be by Craig's side loving and supporting him through the battle he has ahead of him.
We all felt helpless. The only thing we could think of was GoFundMe and when we asked if they would mind if we reach out to the broader community for help they hesitated. These are 2 people that put everyone's needs before their own. 2 people that really do deserve the help of the community so money is their last worry.
The Bellvista Community knows Craig "Krackers" Dozer well. Standing in his drive way every afternoon we knew we were all safe and the children love him even nicknaming him Santa. He was like the Street Bodyguard. Now its time for us to show him just how many lives he has touched.
