Tracy's Medical and Recovery Fund

It was during one of Tracy’s follow up OB visits that the doctor recommended a closer look at a slight lump on her neck in July 2013. Just five short months after the birth of Alexandra Marie, Tracy entered into treatment for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Taking the diagnosis in stride, she set out with a plan to do everything she needed to manage the required chemo treatments, while holding on to every moment as a new mom. With her parents, family and friends right by her side, her faith, positive attitude and strong determination got her through 6 rounds of chemotherapy and several rough months of being sick, losing her hair and life focused on treatments no new mother should ever have to endure.

The plan worked and great news came just before a first birthday celebration for Alex, Tracy was in remission!! Fast forward one year and the journey down the path of treatment has had to start all over again, except this time Tracy must stay in the hospital every three weeks for 3-5days during chemotherapy rounds. After two to three rounds of treatment, she will then begin preparation for an autologous bone marrow transplant in Tampa, Florida.

Tracy made every effort to deal with the situation quietly the first time around, keeping focus on her own family, leaning on her devoted parents, immediate family and small circle of friends. As much as she would like to handle this on her own, this time Tracy and her family need a lot of support to help them through a gruelling treatment regiment, weeks of hospital stay and recovery process that will be very tough and could last for many months.

Like any cancer, the process is long, tiring, painful, emotional, scary, crazy, overwhelming, unpredictable, shocking, exhausting and number of other things no one can fully prepare themselves for.  And cancer is also very, very expensive.  As Tracy's husband I feel like a “Lucky Bastard” to be married to such an amazing woman and human being. My first priority is to take care of her the best way I know how so that she can be there for our little angel Alex. And so it is with great humility and gratitude that I reach out to you for financial support.

PURPOSE: Through this site we will raise funds to help ease the burden of expenses tied to extensive medical treatments, help support our, almost 2 year old, Alex, household and business expenses, travel and accommodation expenses required in her second phase of treatment, along with any other avenues of support that will help during this long road.

UPDATES: Throughout her treatments updates will be made to this page, and anyone wishing to help the family along the way can make donations via this site (a small finance charge is applied to each online donations), or checks can be sent in the name of
