Camper to tolerate the heat!

What a difference a year makes! Last year we bought a minivan, making sure that it had tow capacity and a hitch with the plan that we would be buying a pop up camper. Now that I’m out on disability since the cancer has come back, buying a pop up is no longer a real possibility.

We love taking the kids camping and going to music festivals but I can’t really handle the heat anymore and of course the best time to do both is in the summer. The picture above is how we camp now, old but true. I can take it during the day but sleeping in a tent when it's 80 degrees or more is just too much for me!

We’re not looking for anything fancy, just a pop up with air conditioning.We expect to buy used and it looks like we can get one for less than $5,000. I’m planning to be around for a long time but there are only so many summers left before the kids are grown and off on their own.

I don't have any premiums to offer like Kickstarter but we can certainly go the Nascar route and put bumper stickers all over the camper if you want to send one :)
