Fighting Irish, Fighting Cancer

January of 2015 our father, Thomas Maloney, was diagnosed with Stage 4 oral cancer. With hope that surgery, radiation, and chemo would kill the cancer, it has only become more aggressive.  First surgery in March was a partial Glossectomy and removal of lymph nodes followed by weeks of extensive radiation and chemo therapy.   With hopes to get this all behind him, he planned to move to South Carolina near his daughter and first newborn grandson.  Being the adventurous guy he is, although not healed, Tom decided to drive across country to meet Vincenzo and check out the city of Greenville. Unfortunately, after only three days his trip was cut short because he had a feeling something wasn't right.  He went back to LA, had another neck surgery only to find out that the cancer had become more aggressive.  Being an actor, singer, salesman, and motivational speaker you can only imagine how difficult this transition has become.  On August 3rd, he went in for his third and final surgery which was a total Glossectomy which is the removal of his entire tounge.  This surgery has left him with the inability to speak, living on a feeding tube, and with a tracheotomy all which require a lot of care.  He currently remains in the hospital awaiting to hear results about the NED.  With all our help and support we are coming together to raise money to help alleviate some of his financial burden.   We really appreciate all the continuous prayers, love, and donations we are receiving.  We are beyond blessed that our father has so many people who love, respect, and appreciate him!  Keep the comments and stories coming because they make all of us smile!
