Hey Harvard Class of 2000, how cool would it be to do something immediate to really help women and girls?
Super cool!
Could we raise $2000 to help all women and girls have the access to menstrual hygeine without which we ourselves would never have been able to go to school, or have high-powered jobs, or, like, go out of the house for part of each month? I bet we can.
The money will go to Days for Girls, a non-profit providing for the menstrual health and dignity of women worldwide. Anything over the intial amount? I'll personally buy menstrual hygeine products and donate them to women's and homeless shelters and foodbanks in NYC, where homeless, home-unstable, abused, and poor women often have a hard time providing this basic necessity for themselves.
