Remember Ryan Willweber, forever.

BACKGROUND

The Willweber family received devastating news on Thursday, April 30, 2015 when they learned that their two sons, Ryan and Corey Willweber, were involved in a severe car accident just outside of West Hills High School, where the two boys attended. Ryan and his brother were immediately transported to SHARP Memorial Hospital for emergency care, but sadly, Ryan succumbed to his injuries a short time later. His brother Corey, however, remains with us and is currently in the ICU.

CALL TO ACTION

In order to alleviate some of the financial strain on the Willweber family, as well as honor the life and memory of Ryan, we have set up this GoFundMe campaign and are accepting donations to help out. Besides mandatory fees (created by processing withdrawls through GoFundMe), the full amount raised will go directly towards a memorial plaque that the family picks out, and the remaining balance will go towards anything else the family desires. Be it medical bills, funeral services, etc.

In addition, to help convince the appropriate staff members of the West Hills community to allow a plaque to be displayed on campus, there is an online petition accepting signatures through Change.org over here .

Thank you for your support, everyone. #RememberRyan

FAQ

Q:
Did you know Ryan, or know any of his family?
A: Nope. I never even knew his name until the accident.

Q:
Are any "decision-makers" aware of this?
A: Yes. Robin Ballarin (WHHS Principal) and Mary Nishikawa (WHHS Vice Principal) among others, are aware of this campaign.

Q:
Why is the donation goal keep increasing? The plaque can't cost that much.
A: You're right. But this isn't just about a plaque anymore. It's about helping relieve some of the immense financial strain that has recently been placed on the Willweber's, and getting Ryan a memorial.

Q: Where are the donations going?
A: The donations will only be withdrawn by the Willweber family, once they are added as an official beneficiary.

Q: I have more questions. Can I contact you?
A: Of course! Just shoot me an email at [email redacted]  or direct message me on Instagram at tyler.wolfe.
