Tino Sauter on his journey to become a professional dancer!
Tino
Sauter is a 17 year old boy raised in
Galax, VA. He left home at 15 to start his serious training to become a
professional ballet dancer at The Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts in
Torrington, CT. His dream as many of you
know is to be a professional dancer, and he is well on his way!
He began dancing at age 14 In Galax, VA
at The Conservatory of Dance and Theatre
under the Direction of Barbara Johnson. He excelled there and quickly moved up
into the oldest and hardest class where he fell in love with the art of ballet.
He has received many scholarships to many different schools around the country
such as: The Rock School for Dance Education,
UNCSA, Joffrey ballet school, Kirov Academy of Ballet, American Repertory
ballet, Valentina Kozlava Dance Conservatory of NYC, and many more. He often
comes back to his town of Galax, VA as a guest artist.
He is
currently commuting almost every weekend to NYC for company auditions. These
auditions are the auditions that will accept him into companies worldwide.
Getting into a company and signing a contract means that you are a paid
professional dancer. These auditions get
very expensive because of the Commuting by train to NYC, meals, Audition fees,
and Subway fare.
