Blood transfusions for Jock

Jock and I need you help.
Jock is dying before my eyes. Two days ago I brought him to Coddle Creek Animal Hospital in Concord, North Carolina where he was diagnosed with severe anemia. His red cell count was at 8% and more than likely dropping. The normal range is 39 to 60. If finances were not an issue the vet recommended blood transfusions that evening being that his case is categorized as severe.
The alternative is where we are at. Jock is on a prescription of Prednisone and Doxycline. I have no idea what they do.

From what I have read even with the appropriate medical treatment the mortality rate is close to 40%.
I have no idea what the goal amount is. Blood alone is $800 per transfusion. He is going to need multiple to even stand a chance. Anything beyond what is needed will be donated.
I've spent the day crying and cooking trying to keep him eating. I've told him goodbye.
I'm prepared as best I can for the worst but it 2:38 am and I just told him we're not going without a fight.
Over the past couple of weeks I've been incredibly blessed. I met the Wilhelm Brothers who were kind enought to inspire me to make my first music video in which Jock is a large part. This is the first cut - it is/was a work in progress but I want to share it now.
In addition my friends Manny and Natalie stayed for a week and left me with a picture that means the world.
We adopted Jock at six month old off facebook. We had just recently finished building k9cabins.com website and had dogs on my brain when this photo rolled through my facebook feed.
He had been working over the garbage cans for several weeks when the Caya's took him in and helped him find a new home.
Since then he has been the ultimate companion. From our first bike ride where he latched onto the rear tire and never left till this moment where my heart has uncomprimised love, Jock has affected my life and virtually everybody that has had the benfit of having him hump their leg.
