Voices of the Inside Passage Film

Byron Goggin and Susu Hauser of The Invisible Lens wish to thank all of you who have donated, thus far, to have the story of transboundary mining in the Pacific Northwest brought to light. It is now time to move into Phase 2.

“Voices of the Inside Passage” is in the midst of its social media campaign, and we are realizing that this issue is firmly grabbing people's attention.  Whilst coasting the Inside Passage and producing this series, we became painfully aware that this issue runs much deeper than we originally anticipated.  We now understand this is a global issue with a multitude of interconnected factions involved.  We have only scrapped the surface with these videos and social media platform .

We would now like to raise the stakes and reach a broader audience with a full-length documentary.  We wish to delve deeper and uncover the entanglement surrounding this transboundary mining issue exposing the social, economic, political and cultural implications. To achieve this, we wish to speak with the mining industries of both BC and Alaska, scientists and researchers from both nations, world markets, and global consumers.  Though mining and harvesting of our natural resourses may be inevitable as 1/5 of the world's population still lives without electricity, our hope is for Voices of the Inside Passage to prompt open, transparent discussions of these mining projects and encouragement toward extraction regulations.  With your donation we believe we can achieve this goal.
