Hi, I'm Tim,
I run The Blackjack Project www.tbjp.de
I started The Blackjack Project in 2011 to provide the best, fair produced, products from skaters for skaters.
Products that not just reflect our lifestyle.
Made with passion and love for skating.
Something we can be proud of wearing as skaters while Supporting our scene, favourite skaters, projects and events.
Now in 2018, as I'm writing this the project is still alive.
I'm currently working on a small capsule collection with a European skate crew. But...
This might be the last TBJP Release
You may have noticed that it became rather quiet around TBJP and I did not release many new products lately and wasn't able to support as many events and projects.
Why?
Over the years I accumulated a little debt of at the moment about 5300€ which is the reason for me to create this campaign. I'm generally not good at asking for help and feel rather bad doing this but well here we are...
Why ask for money now?
Currently, I'm paying back a few hundred € every month, which is even more than what comes in through sales with the brand.
This will go on for a while and it makes it hard for me to produce new stuff which is needed to get more money in. With your help, we could speed this up and bring a little life back into the project.
I set the campaign goal to 7000€, not 5300€.
Why?
If we raise 7000€ it would be enough to cover
• the debt,
• the gofundme fees (8.45%+ € 0.25 per donation)
• production of the rewards
What will happen with the money?
If we are successful I will pay back the debt,
produce the rewards and ship them out to you.
Any additional funds raised would go into shipping costs for the rewards, the project for shop/website costs and production of the new collection.
What happens to TBJP in the future?
Firstly the new collaboration/collection will be released (expected release: Online: May/June
Offline: at Abriss Berlin)
... and then?
I am still a fan of The Blackjack Project and I'm hoping that this campaign if successful will help with the continuation of the project.
There are still some ideas and plans for new exciting products I'd love to realise... but in a healthier way.
I took some risks with the project in the past, first of all, with starting the brand. For future releases, I'd want to work more or even exclusively pre-order based to reduce the risks, avoid future debt and overproduction.
Right now:
I'm asking you for help.
