Would like to understand my dream? Please, before this.. answer a question:
What is your biggest regret in life?
A difficult question .. sometimes without an easy response. But when you know you could have tried "something" and you didn't do it, perhaps it is the worst way of repentance. Therefore I don't want to regret for what I have not tried.
A man needs to follow his dreams, needs to find out his way.
I love helping people, hearing their stories and sharing what I've learned in life.
Life is too short for us to wait for things to happen. In one year I lost two young friends and a brother, all of a sudden .. without being able to say 'goodbye'. That changed a lot of thoughts in me.
Like in the "Little Prince", I have decided to travel in search of new "worlds". I lived in Brazil.. so I sold my car, I asked for dismissal at the Bank where I was working, I got rid of many things, I packed my bags and got to know the world. My first stop was Toronto, Canada in July 2011. There, I decided that I wanted to live abroad and chose the lovely nation of Ireland. And with the last savings I had, I came here to study English in early 2012.
The Dream
Now, I'm 29 years old and I would like to make a dream come true: to write a book about CouchSurfing's lifestyle.. and share histories about friendship, travelling and the life, to demonstrate how is safe and good is to be a CouchSurfer! The best way I found to do this is, obviously, by talking to CouchSurfers in person and to experience this with them, people who love to make friends and share the willingness, which I include myself.. ;-)
CouchSurfing is a philosophy of life. You make friends through the willingness of get knowing a person who is travelling. The site CouchSurfing.org centralizes all of this, there you can be a "surfer", a host .. or a good company for a coffee. You choose. I have chosen all the options, it's beautiful!
I already hosted, I surfed also and I was a great company for a hang out. It's fantastic to get to know people.. it is an amazing experience!
So this is the project: travelling around Europe during in 100 days by foot, hitchhiking and train.. and meeting CouchSurfers and new people, hearing their histories.. and after this, sharing my experience through a book about CouchSurfing's lifestyle. I hope, after this project, more and more people in the World can become a CouchSurfer. Especially in places where the CouchSurfing is not so known or people are scared about this lifestyle. I want to prove the reverse!
Unfortunately, I don't have enough money for all the whole trip, for this reason I'm asking to passionates of life and traveling, like me, to help me to complete "the remainder", really I don't expect to get everything, but any amount will be very useful to help me.
The estimated costs are:
1) Eurail Global Pass (Validity: 15 days within 2 month) =

2) Bus fares between cities not covered by train =

I don't have a "planned" journey yet, I just know a list of countries that I would like to go and some "possible" hosts.. the start will be in beginning of September and the wind and the CouchSurfing will lead me through my trip..
