Hello, I'm raising money because our lives are being changed beyond our control, my husband of only nearly 13 years had been unwell for a year, and an illness first thought of as Crohns has now been diagnosed as a pancreatic tumour. It has already metastasised to his lungs, no chemotherapy can pause it's path, only immediate contact with a local cancer hospice and their amazing staff...
Our road together through this life is now very dark, and there is no way to continue for us both.
My husband was diagnosed in November, two months ago, and we know our journey is limited.
We had fortunately, ironically, taken out funeral plans two months before, but it's a five year plan, the cost was just over £3000.00 each.
Only I can work, but for us work means I have to leave my husband and travel to the UK from our home now in Spain, leaving him is breaking me into pieces, and he needs me... Our lives revolve around only each other, we are a couple who talk from dawn to dusk and at any time at night! We love the same things, from foods to films, from county to coffee... Our lives are as one.
Out health is covered because of my work in the UK, thankfully.
I am not asking for much, enough to pay for the funeral, which has to be paid before... Before our lives change forever.
And two thousand will support us through three months, tight, but it means I won't have to leave him when he needs me most. I support people to live on in their own homes, people with disabilities or dementia or Alzheimer's... 24/7, a month on and a month home, I am away now for three weeks, supporting an elderly lady who is in mourning... I have no strength left for me, I have to be with my husband, he needs me now, I am beyond sad, beyond broken.
We live in our very small tiny house in a small town in Spain, we have been so lucky, until now... My husband has made our house our home with me and our small dog. We have nothing left to sell, believe me I would, believe me too when I say I would do anything to make this not be happening to him.
