On the morning of January 30th, with his family by his side, Rick Panas set off to the great gig in the sky.

For the players he shared every stage with, you’ll remember his unwavering his loyalty and outstanding ability. For the crowds of fans that listened to every beat. To the nights he helped you get home after a few. The days he called you just to see how you are and let you know he’s around.
So, with that, he’d like you to know, “The sun is up, the sky is blue. It’s beautiful and, so are you.” He’d also like to remind you that he “Wrote that one sitting on the toilet, eating an orange.”
In lieu of flowers, we'd love it if you could show your support for one of his favorite causes. This year marks the first Annual Rick Panas Blues For Food Fund, a cause that he played his heart out for every year. Show your support and let's boogie down in his honor at Blues For Food 2017.
