I am a birthkeeper - formerly a UK registered midwife. I’m also a Birth Educator, Birth Activist, Birth Nerd & Speaker.
I am a specialist in physiological birth, in the home.
I’ve wanted a bus FOREVER and have sought to make birth better for all families FOREVER.
It didn’t occur to me that I could combine my obsessions into “The Big Birthy Bus!”
I’m already getting requests to pull up beside houses in the UK and around Europe to be in the vicinity when babies seek to come earthside. It’s my calling!
Anyone who had the misfortune of getting into my little old car when I was an independent midwife will know that I lived in it from the biscuit crumbs and chocolate embedded in the passenger seat so this is A BIG UPGRADE
I’ve flown to other countries for birth before but from now on I can drive and stay in The Birthy Bus and keep all of my toys, books, herbs, oils and music with me. Occasionally I can even store other birthkeepers in her!
Her name will be Freida! Freida loves freedom!
I’ll be hosting podcasts, video casts, Power hours and maybe even the occasional birth will happen in there!
All my life I’ve made things happen through sheer determination and hard work - however I have learned now that things happen better, together!
So here’s an opportunity for all of those who love and appreciate me to get involved in this dream coming true.
