Thanksgiving Together
For all the people who work at the Calexico Neighborhood House, Thanksgiving is more than just another holiday; it is the date to enforce our mission and commitment with our community.
Every year for the last 20 years, we have cooked and served meals to families and individuals in need in the City of Calexico, CA. Every Thanksgiving Day we receive and help more and more people, and this year is not the exception. According to our experience, research and references, this year we are expecting to serve over 700 meals for 700 persons.
Among all the people who we served meal are included: families in need, homebound persons, homeless, veterans and senior citizens in abandonment situation.
Our goal is to provide not only a homemade meal, but we also desire to get people together, enjoy each other company, have a nice time and feel the support of the community. We believe that being together and give thanks for all that we have each year is the core meaning of this holiday.
During this caring event we provide a whole and homemade meal, dessert, beverages and entertainment. Meal includes: turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, pumpkin pie and beverages.
Please, help us to put huge smiles in the faces of many families and individuals in need. Help us to have a Thanksgiving Dinner together. Beforehand, Thank You!
