Tents for Nepal

Many of you have expressed an interest in helping the people of Nepal following the devastating earthquake that took place on April 25th, 2015. I am focused on providing good quality tents to those in need who are now homeless and have initiated requests for tents from various American companies and am also sourcing tents from India. IndiGo Airlines has just committed to sending up to 1000kgs from Delhi in our first movement and we will be working to keep that pipeline going with flights as well as overland transport. 100% of the money raised will go to these efforts and we have a good network of dedicated volunteers on the ground both in India and Nepal to get these tents to the people in dire need. My initial goal will be to raise $50,000. Please share widely with your network so we can get this moving as quickly as possible.

Just to give you some background, I was based in Nepal as a journalist for nearly 11 years and am currently a producer for National Geographic's Explorer TV series.
