Gus Needs Happy Hips
Donation protected
Please help our Gus and hopefully other puppies living with hip dysplasia avoid uthanization. Here's a little bit of Gus' story. Unfortunately, Gus is needlessly suffering due to irresponsible breeding and genetic deficiency. Gus is an 8 month old Cane Corso puppy who has been diagnosed with Early Onset Hip Dysplasia and Kidney Deficiency. Hip dysplasia is the failure of the hip joints to develop normally (known as malformation), gradually deteriorating and leading to loss of function of the hip joints. Hip dysplasia is not limited to large and giant breed dogs. There are many cases of small and medium dogs with hip dysplasia, as well. Like so many puppies suffering from early on-set dysplasia, Gus is having difficulty standing, walking, playing as puppies/dogs should do and even laying in one position for long periods of time, this means he never has a night of sleep that's not restless. He is bearing most of his weight in his front legs which could eventually lead to damage to his front hips. If Gus continued to go without surgery or medication,/supplements it would eventually lead to an early death. Due to the severity of the dysplasia , Gus will require a full hip replacement and a lifetime of medication/supplements. Our hope is to raise money to help Gus and other puppies suffering from hip dysplasia avoid uthanization and get the necessary treatment they need. Your generous donation will allow Gus and other puppies with hip dysplasia live a normal, healthy, and active life. If you are unable to donate we would appreciate if you would share this story with your family and friends on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Dogs' lives matter, too. Thank you in advance. Every dollar will make a difference.
