Medical Expenses for Spot and Sochi

TEAM-FUR (Friends of Unwanted Rabbits) needs to raise funds to pay for medical expenses for two very special rabbits.

Spot is a super sweet bunny who sadly came into the shelter with  broken tooth. The tooth had shattered into pieces. Before the broken tooth was found an abscess had developed on his jaw. Through two surgeries Spot has had the tooth removed. The abscess has not been so easy to treat. He has had two additional surgeries to clean out the abscess and has been put on multiple medications. Currently he is in a medical foster care home receiving pencillin injections.

Spot is a very loving rabbit and loves to give lots of bunny kisses after he is pet. He will need ongoing treatment until the abscess is cleared up. Abscess are unfortunately difficult to treat in rabbits and require a rabbit savvy foster care home to know how to provide treatment.

Sochi

Sochi - Is a very special bunny girl. Sadly she was traumatized by being kept in a tiny wire cage by a meat breeder. Hands reaching into her cage were not kind hands. Sochi was neglected and kept in filthy conditions. As a result she has developed ongoing ear infections both inside her ear and on the skin surface of both ears.
We were very worried we were going to lose Sochi several times as she had a temperature of 106 degrees. Most rabbits do not survive temperatures this high but our sweet Sochi girl is a fighter. She has had ongoing medical treatment to fight the infections both inside her ears and on the skin surface of her ears. For quite some time the Vet was worried that her ears were going to have to be amputated.

Sochi has been a trooper and has taken all of her medication and has endured penicillin injections as well as metronidazole and meticam to help with the pain. She has healed wonderfully from the trauma that she suffered and enjoys hanging out on top of her x-pen that has a top to it to so she can get a better view and supervise her surrounding. Currently, the Vet wants her on metronidazole for several months to make sure that the infection clears up.

TEAM-FUR needs help to pay for Sochi’s ongoing medical expenses. Sochi had a horrible life, before we rescued her, living in bad conditions with a meat breeder. She has been rescued and has adapted not only to being a spoiled house rabbit but is very good about taking her medication. Won’t you consider making a donation to help pay for her medical care so that she can be healed and live out the rest of her life as a pampered house rabbit?
