Kent began his Motorsport Career in 2000 and, from the "˜get go', it was clear the he was a driver to watch.
Having raced and beaten some of Australia's best drivers while competing in karts, Kent quickly made a respected name for himself. Called "The Kent Cross Show" when he turned up to races, he showed his natural ability to win.
In 2008 Kent made the move to racing cars, competing in the Queensland Formula Vee Championship. Immediately he showed talent, taking his first race win in his first meeting of the series. He went on to finish 2nd in the Championship, but only one year later, Kent claimed the Championship win, a feat he would repeat once again in 2010.
During 2009 Kent was invited to attend the Formula BMW Pacific
Scholarship held in Malaysia at the Sepang Formula One Circuit. He
showed quick pace throughout testing and the scholarship itself, even
though he had never driven the cars previously.
It was inevitable that Kent would make the trip to the birth place of Motorsport "“ Europe "“ and in 2011 he made the move to the United Kingdom to continue his career. He tested in various series during the year, from Renault Clio and Chevron GR8 to Formula Ford. At the end of 2011 Kent was given the opportunity to run at one of the biggest events in the UK, the Formula Ford Festival.
In 2013 Kent will be looking to race in the British GT Championship
